Your First Appointment

Your initial assessment will last around 1 hour. You will be asked a number of questions to establish a breathing pattern disorder as the cause of symptoms followed by some clinical tests and observations of breathing, posture and movement. These include questions about:
  • Your symptoms and how / when they began
  • Causes or triggers
  • General health and previous medical history
  • Your work and lifestyle

Following the assessment, we will discuss a treatment plan and a week later a follow-up appointment will be made to see how well you are doing. Over these few weeks, we will cover those factors influencing your breathing such as posture, movement, exercise, sport, talking, presenting, asthma, clearing your lungs, depending on your particular needs.
